Arshia Askari, a 17-year-old, was killed on January 8, 2026, in Mashhad during the Lion and Sun revolution. He was shot in front of the Mashhad IRIB building. ارشیا عسکری، نوجوان ۱۷ ساله، در تاریخ ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در مشهد و در جریان انقلاب شیر و خورشید جان باخت. او مقابل ساختمان صداوسیمای مشهد هدف گلوله قرار گرفت. ارشیا عسکری پس از مجروح شدن با گلوله، توسط حمید مهدوی، آتشنشان، از صحنه دور شد تا جانش نجات یابد. با وجود این تلاشها، ارشیا در بیمارستان جان باخت. ارشیا عسکری به عنوان فرزند ایران و جانفدای میهن یاد میشود.
